The eight-pointed star anise hails from South China and Vietnam. Star Anise is a popular spice in China and key ingredient in Chinese Five Spice. Like anise, but stronger: warm, sweet aromatic, it is often used to flavour soups, stews, meats, desserts and liqueurs. Contains organic star anise.
