Over the course of these two days, Chef will share his knowledge of basic sourdough and bread preparation. You will learn how to create your own starter and bake a loaf of your own slow-fermented sourdough bread using our sourdough-making kit (included).
Day 1 (Saturday) Introduction to sourdough, flour, hydration, Levane (made in advance), starter. Everyone will make their own dough, shape the dough into baskets and prepare to cold ferment overnight.
Day2 (Sunday) - Techniques for best results before baking your bread, proper finishing and optimal temperatures.
Of course, don't forget the food! Enjoy Charcuterie, an amazing Fondue Dip, and Gourmet Grilled Cheese Sandwiches featuring our great selection of local cheese.
Included in the workshop, each participant will receive a Sourdough Bread Making kit which includes; 2.5Kg Arva Hard White Four, Chef's Sourdough Starter, 8" Banneton, Banneton Basket Liner, Bread Scorer & Dough Scraper ($60 Value)
